About This Product
These bell peppers are grilled until blistered and smoky, then preserved in extra virgin olive oil with wine vinegar and garlic. This process makes their natural sweetness even deeper and richer, bringing out gentle charred notes that evoke summer grilling. A Hyde Farm favourite, they are versatile and ready to use on everything from antipasti to sandwiches, salads, pizzas and pasta. These tender, flavour-packed peppers are prepared traditionally for year-round enjoyment.

Serving Suggestions & Cooking Instructions
Preparation: These peppers are “flame-grilled” and preserved to be tender but not mushy. To maintain the “gentle charred notes,” do not overcook them if adding to hot dishes.
Method: For hot applications like pasta or pizza, add the peppers at the very end of cooking. If using them for a sauce, you can roughly chop them and gently warm them through with a little of their own preserving oil to release the smoky aroma.
The Antipasti Board: Arrange the peppers on a platter alongside Hyde Farm Crunchy Chicory Sprouts and a selection of Pecorino cheeses. Their “smoky-sweet flavour” provides a colourful, succulent contrast to bitter greens and salty cheeses.
Elevated Sandwiches: Use these blistered ribbons as a gourmet layer in a focaccia sandwich with prosciutto and fresh rocket. The peppers act as both a vegetable and a condiment, adding moisture and a rich, charred depth.
Mediterranean Pasta: Toss sliced peppers into a bowl of Rummo Fusilli with a dollop of Black Olive Tapenade and fresh parsley. The combination of sweet peppers and briny olives is a classic Italian crowd-pleaser.
Quick Steak Garnish: Lay the peppers over a grilled sirloin or ribeye steak while the meat is resting. The residual heat will warm the peppers, and the “wine vinegar for balance” will cut through the richness of the steak beautifully.
